My photographic roots are in the news and publications field, beginning in the mid 70's with an internship at the Tulsa Tribune.  The next few years were spent cutting my teeth, working as a night-shift stringer for the Tribune as well as assignment work from United Press International and Associated Press.

I enrolled in the journalism program at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond and after completing the core, transferred to the fine arts program to finish a degree in visual arts.

I served as Chief Photographer for a busy daily paper in the OKC area, and returned briefly to the university to teach photojournalism before relocating to Northeast Tennessee in 1997.

Today, my wife Amy and I live a quiet and simple life in the heart of Appalachia in Northeast Tennessee.  A world removed from the headlines and deadlines, we love the slower pace here in the mountains.

I hope you enjoy my website and will visit often.  Leave me an email if you drop in, I'd love to hear from you.
